Center for Spirit at Work announces the finalists for the 2013 Spirit at Work Awards
Kansas City, MO (May 21, 2103) The Center for Spirit at Work is proud to announce the finalists for their 2013 Spirit at Work Awards program, according to Vince Sabia, Chairman of the Board, The Center for Spirit at Work. The finalists are One More Cup, Kansas City MO., Heartland Habitat for Humanity, Kansas City, KS., C3, Creative Consumer Concepts, Overland Park, KS., Sandler Training, Overland Park, KS., and OMNI Employment Management Services, LLC, Overland Park, KS.
The Center’s awards program seeks to honor those businesses that demonstrate the values of the organization which include the integration of ethical values, social consciousness and spirituality in the workplace and business culture. The purpose of the award program is to affirm the values of inspiration, integration, interconnectedness and inclusiveness in area businesses.
Honorees will receive their award at the Spirit at Work Awards Breakfast, Friday morning, June 14, 2013, at the Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral event space, 415 West 13th Street, Kansas City, MO 64105.
The Center for Spirit at Work was founded in 1997 as a non-denominational, non-profit organization to support individuals in their integration of ethical values, social consciousness and spirituality in the workplace. The Center recognizes that all religious, social and philosophical traditions can bring growth to the worker and, more specifically, that the culture of an organization positively affects the spirituality of the individual worker. Small Discussion Groups
New to the Center in 2012, these small groups meet the week following the Breakfast Speaker meeting to discuss the topic in depth. Groups of six to eight people meet in an informal setting to delve further in to the topics and how they can apply them in their workplaces.
